Derrick Lui, award women Singaporean film maker, and Lawrence Gray have teamed up to produce and direct "Trading Girls", a feature film about the workings of a hotel in Singapore's Gey Lang area. Lawrence calls it Fawlty Towers in a Brothel, though Derrick takes a more art house view of the story. It will be interesting to see how Lawrence's literate and witty script develops into what the two of them hope will be a breakthrough Singaporean movie. WIth the right funding and casting, they have no doubts that it will be a successful collaboration. Even without the funding they are going to do their best to persuade a good cast to take the risk and join them in the adventure.
